Pot of Flowers Quilt Top Circa 1880’s

Description

This quilt top is 68 by 80 inches and is hand and machine stitched. The flowers and leaves are dark green, turkey red and cheddar and appliquéd to the white squares on the diagonal. The stitching on the top and bottom border piece has come unstitched in the center. There is one brown spot on the piece as shown in the second photo. That same photo shows a slight fade in the flower pot to the top left. The white background on this quilt top is light weight and in excellent condition – no yellowing or stains.
