Floral Panel Scheurer Fabric Sample

Description

This sample piece was purchased from an auction in Paris and came from the famous Scheurer Company which was one of Europe’s great textile printers based in Mulhouse in Alsace, France. One edge has small holes where the piece was attached to the sample book. There is a label in the corner of the piece that reads “Fabrication Garancée/Garantie/Grand Teint/Procédé Scheurer-Rott/2421.”  This is a 32 by 19 inch piece. Note light brown shadowing along the right side of each floral panel and stripe.
