Barn Raising Quilt Circa 1870

Description

This quilt is 80 by 81 inches with a circle quilting pattern. There are a few small spots on the quilt top and the back of the quilt also has a few spots. Some of the quilting was done with a dark thread as you can see from the photo that shows the back of the quilt. In the bottom left corner, the back of the quilt has two areas about the size of a quarter, that have been darned. The quilt has a great collection of fabrics from this time period.
