9 Newspaper Backed Quilt Blocks

Description

This is a set of quilt blocks that use newspaper backing to piece together the blocks. The newspaper appears to be from Topeka, Kansas in 1938. Gas prices were 14 cents per gallon! Several of the photos show the newspaper backing on most of the blocks.

One of the tips on one of the blocks appears to have some water damage. These blocks do not lie flat. One red center has a small spot. The blocks are about 22 by 22 inches. There are a few miscellaneous pieces as is shown in one of the photos.

This is a fantastic collection of fabrics from around the 1930’s.
