1901 Red Fan Quilt

Description

Large fans with late 1800’s prints, outlined in red and white stripe. The back is white and has a few small stains. This quilt has had some wear and use as you can see in the close ups of the red background. The quilt is hand quilted except for the fan red and white stripe border and the double pink “X” in each corner. Given its age, the quilt is in really good condition with some great fabrics from the late 1800’s.

The left border has hand embroidered names and date in white floss: “John Deon´z Quilting” (The last name is difficult to read and could be wrong.); “Pieced by Grandma”; “In her 72nd year”; “1901”.
