1888 Star Quilt Blocks

Description

There are 22 blocks that are about 10 by 10 inches and one block that is about 8 by 8 inches. The first block is hand stitched to a newspaper – The Philadelphia Record that is dated February 11, 1888. The other blocks are not attached to newspaper but most are backed with brown cotton. There is one block that has a duplicate and another block that has three blocks that are the same. The block attached to the newspaper is in the worst condition. The other blocks are in good condition. All are hand stitched.
