Stella Mayhew Old Mill Cigarette Silk. Cigarette silks were used as promotional items. Stella (1874-1934) was a popular vaudeville artist. She starred with Al Jolson in “The Whirl of Society” in 1912. These silks are still attached to their cardboard back as shown in the second photo.
