Mid 1800’s Poster Bed Quilt

Description

This quilt is about 87 by 83 inches. The quilt is hand stitched, about 6 stitches to an inch. Some of the pieces have frayed areas and there are a few small holes. The back of the quilt is a solid light brown muslin type fabric with some stains, repairs, and holes. The quilt is bound with two of floral prints that are used in the quilt and the binding has some fraying.

This quilt has an overall brown appearance and is a bit bulky.
