Julia Sanderson (1888-1975) Old Mill Cigarette Silk. The top of the silk reads “Factory No. 25, 2nd Dist. Va.” Cigarette silks were used as promotional items. Julia was an actress and a singer. She and her husband had a popular radio quiz show “The Battle of the Sexes” which ran for 13 years.
