Description

Black and white print with ovals and circles. There are 2 two yard pieces available. The price is per yard. All were previously machine stitched together as if for a quilt back. One of the pieces has the label as shown in the photo. I will send a copy of the label with each purchase. William Simpson began the Print Works in the Philadelphia area about 1835. The Print Works printed calico and silk and later changed its name to Washington Print Works. In 1870, the American Institute of New York awarded its Bronze Metal to William Simpson and Sons for “The Best Fast Blacks and Mourning Prints”.
