Crown of Thorns Quilt Circa 1870

Description

This quilt is hand stitched and is about 64 by 70 inches. It has a red binding and a muslin back. The quilt has fine hand quilting in a fan pattern. There are two very small spots on the back – one can be seen in the photo of the back. There is also very light stains on the front of this quilt – one in upper right and upper left; one of the bottom right; and one on each side the center of this quilt. Note the different print on the bottom right hand square.
